NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF
“Knowledge Is Power!”
Each One Teach One, Inc. is a non-profit 501(c)(3) youth developmental and mentoring program, which for over 40 years has successfully used sports as a vehicle to motivate young boys and girls to pursue higher education and explore various careers.
WHAT WE DO
We annually conduct tours to historical black colleges and universities in the Southeast, as well as city/state colleges and universities in the Northeast. We are also an educational advocate; we visit schools with parent consent to monitor the academic progress of our youths.
We provide mentorship, guest speakers from the public, private, and entertainment sectors by holding informal sessions with our youth, while fostering self-respect, community awareness, community empowerment, and curbing the violence in Harlem & the Bronx (also known as the “Stop the Violence in the Parks” program). This anti-violence program has been successfully coordinated in four New York City parks: Central Park, Each One Teach One Park (E. Harlem), Holcombe Rucker Park (Upper Harlem), and “Crack Is Wack” Playground (E. Harlem).
